Add Images

You can insert images (BMP, JPG, JPEG or PNG files) to your diagram for design or identification purposes.

To add a new image

Hint: You can simply add an image from the clipboard by pressing COMMAND-V.

The pop-up menu options of the image object in the canvas include:

Option

Description

Cut

Remove the image the diagram and put it on the clipboard.

Copy

Copy the image from the diagram to the clipboard.

Paste

Paste the content from the clipboard into the diagram.

Save as Image

Save the image as a PNG file.

Select All Images

Select all images in the diagram.

Delete from Diagram

Delete an image from the diagram.

Bring to Front

Bring the image to the foreground.

Send to Back

Move the image to the background.

Group / Ungroup

Group or ungroup the image and other objects in the diagram.

Lock / Unlock

Lock or unlock the image in the diagram.

Properties

Once you have selected the image, you can customize the image by changing its properties:

Image

Name

Enter the name of the image.

Opacity

Set the opacity of the image.

Position

Customize the position of the image.

Size

Customize the size of the image.

Original Size

Reset the image to its original size.

Constrain proportions

Maintain the aspect ratio (the ratio of width to height) when resizing.

URL

Enter URL path to set the image as a hyperlink.

Group / Ungroup

Group or ungroup the image and other objects in the diagram.

Lock / Unlock

Lock or unlock the image in the diagram.
